SEA WAYS.
WHEN MUSIC LEADS US ROUND THE WORLD.
THEMATIC SERIES OF CONCERTS
21/7 – 5/10/2006
MUSEUM OF GREEK TRADITIONAL MUSIC INSTRUMENTS, ATHENS
For 3 months ANAPLOUS structured a program for traditional "Mediterranean" and "In Stream with Contemporary Art" music: 12 concerts, 62 master musicians, and a total audience of 1,800 persons. The Museum of Greek Traditional Music Instruments in the Plaka area of Athens was flooded by the sounds of Lower Italy (Magna Grecia), Thrace, Constantinople (Istanbul), Cyprus, Crete, and Asia Minor, provided by music ensembles from Greece, Cyprus, Iran and Sweden.
The aim of this thematic series of concerts was to offer the pubic the opportunity to learn of the artists and their works; become familiarized with the Museum where the concerts were performed; and also to appreciate the very important exhibits of the Museum.
