Greek Carols for Christmas, New Year and Epiphany feasts which get to our days through the spoken and written music tradition from the around the world Greeks, celebratory songs from the far distanced Thrace and the islands of the Aegean Sea, the Peloponnese, Cyprus and Crete, Macedonia and Epirus and the mainland Greece, Thessaly and the Ionian Islands as well as from lower Italy (Magna Grecia), the seashores of Asia Minor, Pontus, Cappadocia and Constantinople, were performed by 50 artists under the direction of the internationally famous virtuoso in oud Christos Tsiamoulis. Soloist in singing and conducting the choir was Katerina Papadopoulou. The instruction of the music ensemble was due to Andreas Tsekouras.
Icons of the iconographer Anthi Valsamaki were presented at the reception hall of the auditorim in a symbolic exhibition titled “From the drop of rain … upon the face of the sea” accentuating the significance of water in the life of Man as it is presented in the Book of Saints, in 7 histories of Saints of the Eastern Orthodox Church.
